Basic Life Support for Providers
BLS for Providers covers all of the information needed for high-quality CPR on victims of any age and how to best work as a team during an emergency situation.
THIS COURSE IS FOR:
Healthcare providers and other personnel who work within a healthcare facility or prehospital location (such as a doctor's office, rehab center, etc.). Typically, this class is needed by people who have a current provider license (i.e. nurse, CNA, dentist, PT, OT, pharmacist, etc.) and need BLS to maintain that license.
COURSE COVERS:
• Information and skill practice for each component of high-quality CPR for adult, child, and infant victims.
•The AHA "Chain of Survival" for prehospital and in-facility providers
• Use of an Automated External defibrillator (AED)
• How to give effective breaths using a pocket mask and a bag-valve mask
• High-quality team dynamics and the importance of working in teams
• Relief of choking for adults, children and infants
• Review on the use of Naloxone

Heartsaver CPR/AED
American Heart Associations Heartsaver CPR/AED class will teach the student to recognize cardiac arrest, contact emergency services quickly, and begin CPR until EMS or other advanced care arrives.
THIS COURSE IS FOR:
Anyone who needs CPR certification for a job or other requirements. This course is also for any person who would like to be prepared for an emergency in their home or any other setting.
COURSE COVERS:
• Adult, Child, & Infant CPR and AED Use
• Opioid-associated Life-threatening Emergencies
• Adult, Child, and Infant Choking
COST: $60/student (price includes book & card)
When paired with First Aid(most common), total cost is $75/student
American Heart Associations Heartsaver CPR/AED class will teach the student to recognize cardiac arrest, contact emergency services quickly, and begin CPR until EMS or other advanced care arrives.

Heartsaver First Aid
AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid course offers the basics of first aid, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. The most important goal of this course is to teach students to act in an emergency.
THIS COURSE IS FOR:
Anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory, or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
COURSE COVERS:
• First Aid Basics - Phoning 911, Finding the Problem, Wearing & Removing Gloves, Washing Hands Properly
• Medical Emergencies - Breathing Problems, Allergies, Low Blood Sugar, Heart Attack, Stroke, Seizure
• Injury Emergencies - External and Internal Bleeding, Spine and Head injuries, Burns & Electrical Injuries
• Environmental Emergencies - Bites and Stings, Heat & Cold Related Emergencies, Poisoning
• Preventing Illness and Injury
COST: $40/student (price includes book & card)

80% of cardiac arrest happens in the home. This class covers basic CPR and choking training so that you are prepared to act if something happens to a loved one.
THIS COURSE IS FOR:
Those not needing CPR certification, but would like to have the valuable skills and knowledge of high-quality CPR. Great for parents, grandparents, babysitters, friends,

Family and Friends can be taken anytime a Heartsaver CPR/AED class is scheduled. Just make note of F & F while registering but choose a Heartsaver CPR date.

The Skills Check off session is for students who have completed an online training course (Basic Life Support for Providers or Heartsaver) through the American Heart Association.
